There is just something about me that gives certain people the ick. For a while, it was my shaved head or my obsession with lifting weights. Then, it was my political views (very pro-LGBT, BLM, Free Palestine). Now, it’s often my witchy and spiritual vibes. Or maybe they just don’t like the cut of my jib!
I love that.
I love when people dislike me. I'm thrilled when someone sees me and leaves the room. You wanna roll your eyes when i talk, go ahead. Its no skin off my nose.
I’m okay with people not liking me because that means I’m on the right path for me. It means I’m being authentic to myself, and by definition, that means I’m not going to be loved by everyone. My authentic life isn’t going to look like everyone else’s, and that’s not only okay—it’s preferred!
You don't have to change who you are just because someone dislikes you.
I'll say it again.
You don't have to change who you are just because someone dislikes you.
I have one rule in life… Okay, maybe more than one. But everyone that knows me knows my most important rule: You can't be dumb and rude.
If you're dumb about something, you should be polite and ask for clarity. If you know without a shadow of a doubt that you're right, feel free to be sassy. I don't mind sassy smart people. I mean, don't be an ass, but you can be a little sparky.
This is how I feel about being disliked. I know, without a shadow of a doubt that my life is good for me. I know that I'm a polite, kind and helpful person. I have my moments, like everyone, but I know that who I am doesn't hurt anyone or anything. So if people don't like me, fuck ‘em.
We talk a lot about Magnetism. It's how the IT Girl gets what she wants. It's how the small-time creator lands a big gig. It's the concept of pulling in whatever it is you desire. But that's only one kind of polarity. Magnets repel energy too, my friend.
There are two possible outcomes when you connect two magnets:
They become best buddies and stick to each other.
They repel each other and won’t connect, no matter how hard you try.
The closer I get to my true Self and my true Desire, the more I repel certain people. Our magnets have opposite polarizations and that's okay. If I were to try and make them like me it would only pull me further away from my true self. Why would I sacrifice self actualization for someone who doesn't appreciate who I am?
I wouldn't and neither should you.
Someone doesn't like you? Big whoop. You can't make everyone like you. YOU don't even like everyone.
The less you care about the opinion of others, the greater your ability to attract those who would lift you up and celebrate you. The closer you are to your true Self the closer you are to living your dream life. The more YOU that you are, the better your life.
Why would you sacrifice that for something as petty as being liked?
